    Mary Lou GalantinoMary Lou Galantino, PT, PhD

    Mary Lou Galantino is a Professor at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Adjunct Scholar and Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Pennsylvania where she conducts research on integrative medicine and chronic diseases. Dr. Galantino has extensive experience with the HIV population and has been an advocate locally and nationally for rehabilitation services since the early 1980’s through her training at MD Anderson in Houston TX. She established the HIV SIG of the Oncology Section of the APTA in 1993 and served as the Research Chair for over a decade. She has received HRSA government grants to service HIV indigent patients in Houston, TX and Camden, NJ and established community based rehabilitation interventions for people living with HIV. She has published extensively on cancer and HIV, including two HIV texts. Dr. Galantino received a Fulbright Specialist Award (2013-2018) and is excited to serve other countries in establishing cancer and HIV rehabilitation programs through an integrative and community based approach.
