    CUHRRC Team Biography

    David M. KietrysDavid M. Kietrys, PT, PhD, OCS

    David M. Kietrys is an Associate Professor in the DPT Program at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey - School of Health Related Professions, where he coordinates the musculoskeletal tract of the curriculum. He is the director of NJ-Fit-for-Life, a pro bono program that provides PT services and education to individuals with HIV disease in southern New Jersey. He has coauthored several peer-reviewed articles on rehabilitation of individuals with HIV disease as well as chapters on the subject in Neurological Rehabilitation 6th ed. (Umphred), Pathology: Implications for the Physical Therapist 4th ed. (in press) (Goodman, ed.), and Peripheral nerve injury: An anatomical and physiological approach to pathology and intervention (in press) (Carp, ed.), and has presented numerous lectures and continuing education courses on the topic throughout the United States. He was recently awarded a clinical research grant from the Oncology Section of APTA for the study “The Effects of a 4-week Yoga Program on Persons with HIV-related Distal Sensory Polyneuropathy”.
